Back to School!

The Acworth Achievers are wrapping up their summer and getting ready to head back to school. As they prepare for the year ahead, each student was able to pick out their very own book bag filled with notebooks, binders, pencils, pens, paper, and any other supplies they may need for the upcoming school year. The students were so excited to pick out their bags and even more excited to begin the new year! Good luck to all of our students and remember to keep up the good grades.

Cooling off at the pool

The Acworth Achievers work hard all year long to make good grades and stay involved in their community. This summer, they decided to take a break from the work and summer heat and headed to the pool to cool off. The students really enjoyed themselves as they were able to relax and have some fun with their friends. Swimming and sunshine always makes you hungry so we had a pizza party afterward. Thank you to Sara Babb Public Pool and the City of Dallas for having us!

2018 YMCA Camp High Harbour

Two participants in the Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program, were invited to attend the YMCA's Camp High Harbour through their Navigators Leadership Program. Both deserving participants were selected because of their leadership skills, grades and good behavior inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to their invitation, both were awarded scholarships to attend the overnight week long camp! What's even more exciting, one of them was awarded "Camper of the Week" for having great leadership skills, for going above and beyond, and for being kind and generous and received a certificate and medal for her outstanding performance!
